Healthy Vegan Cinnamon French Toast with Elderberry Syrup

Spice up your morning routine with healthy vegan cinnamon french toast! This french toast is not only vegan and uses healthier flours to coat whole wheat breads, it's paired with a delicious black elderberry syrup for added immune support benefits.* This is perfect for those mornings when you have a little extra time to make a special breakfast! 

Ingredients

Makes 3 servings

For the batter:
- 1/2 cup garbanzo bean flour
- 2 tbsp coconut sugar
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 3/4 cup plant-milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

Additional ingredients:
- 6 slices hearty wheat bread
- organic maple syrup
- Sambucol Black Elderberry Syrup
- berries, vegan butter & powdered sugar, for serving

Directions
Whisk together the batter ingredients in a shallow dish. Dip in your favorite hearty wheat bread slices & ensure both sides are well-coated before tossing on a pre-heated non-stick griddle. Cook until golden & toasty on both sides.

Combine 1/4 maple syrup with 2 T Sambucol black elderberry syrup for added antioxidants & that subtle Pacific Northwest flavor

Serve with your favorite berries, a touch of vegan butter, a sprinkle of powdered sugar & drizzle with your infused immune-supporting maple syrup.
