Sparkling Sambucol Sherbet Punch

This fizzy, colorful punch is perfect for New Year's Eve celebrations. Cheers to your healthy new year ahead with a delicious dose of added immune support from Sambucol Black Elderberry Syrup and Sambucol Black Elderberry Drink Powder.

Ingredients:


Sherbet:
3 Cups Plain, Unsweetened Non-Dairy Milk
1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
1/2 Cup Sambucol Black Elderberry Syrup

Punch:
1 (2 Liter) Bottle Lemon-Lime Soda
1 (750 ml) Bottle Champagne or Sparkling White Wine*
2 Packages Sambucol Black Elderberry Drink Powder

Instructions:

  1. First, prepare the sherbet. In a medium saucepan, combine the non-dairy milk and sugar. Place over medium-high heat and bring to a boil, whisking often to dissolve the sugar. Immediately remove from the heat.
  2. Add the Sambucol Black Elderberry Syrup and whisk until incorporated. Let cool, stirring often. Once cooled, cover, and refrigerate until very cold; at least 4 hours or overnight.
  3. Churn in your ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Transfer to an airtight container and freeze for at least 3 hours before serving, until firm enough to scoop.
  4. When you’re ready to serve, combine the soda, champagne, and Sambucol Black Elderberry Drink Powder in a large punch bowl. Either float scoops of sherbet on top, or let guests add sherbet to individual drinks as desired. Keep the sherbet on ice if serving separately.

Makes 10 - 12 Servings

Notes:
For a non-alcoholic option, replace the champagne with sparkling mineral water or lemon seltzer
